CND: Upscaling the Nail Polish Scene

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved going to the nail salon with my dad (yes, you read that right). He’d allow me to experiment over the different nail art techniques and actually buy the tools for me so that I could practice doing my nails at home. I can actually say that I am a nail polish addict; if I could change the color of my nails everyday, I would.

Now that I am a bit older, I am more into bold, clean, and classy nails. Although, I’d still always go for unique colors, whether it’s galactic or chrome. Due to my daily activities, I find it hard to maintain the appearance of my tips. One of my pet-peeves are actually chipped nails, that’s why I was so happy when I found out that gel polish is a thing.

A few weeks ago, I got to try one of CND’s Shellac collection at La Maquillage Salon & Spa located at the Manila Peninsula.

The whole process lasted for less than 20 minutes. (Including the drying time) My nail technician was very professional and the tools that she used on me were properly sanitized. According to her, she’s been doing nails for almost 20 years. The over all ambiance of the salon is very relaxing, unlike most salons which smell like chemicals.
