Up for a Road Trip?: Pililla Wind Farm in Rizal

Manila may get a little bit too toxic at times. My family and I deal with this by taking spontaneous road trips to nearby provinces; just to take a breather, and inhale some fresh air. A change of scenery once in while is a good way to destress.

One weekend, a family friend of ours invited us over to his place in Rizal. We decided to drop by the Pililla Wind Farm to witness the gigantic “fans”.

As a fan of alternative energy, I feel happy whenever I witness projects like this. Any kind of progress has a major impact for our environment, right?

There were a lot of cars parked when we visited, guess it’s really budding as a tourist destination. Best thing is there’s no entrance fee!

What’s a tourist destination without a souvenir shop?

Up for a road trip and don’t have time to go all the way to Ilocos to see the Bangui Windmills? Well, this is an alternative. 🙂
