Take a Look at U.P. Diliman’s Sunflowers

The season of sunflowers in the U.P. Diliman campus is something I look forward to every year. It’s the time when I see the University Avenue blooming with life and hope; that’s why I went out of my way to visit them last week before the heavy rains wash them out.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the sunflower species for the past 3 years have been genetically modified due to the shift of the academic calendar?

Sunflowers are no doubt my favorite, I’ve said it before and I will say it again, seeing one just brightens up my day. On the other hand, for graduating students of U.P., the sunflowers serve as a symbol of all their sleepless nights working on academic requirements.
